Newcastle 3-0 Stoke City – Premier League – 21st April 2012
With Arsenal’s form wobbling, Newcastle United are well in the the hunt for a top four, if not top three, finish this season.
One of the surprise packages of the campaign, Alan Pardew’s men comfortably outplayed Tony Pulis’ Stoke, although had Jonatahn Walters put away the game’s first chance, things could have been very different.
Yohan Cabaye was the star of the show for the home side, bagging a superb brace, while not surprisingly, Papiss Cissé once again got on the scoresheet.
Newcastle now find themselves in the top four, just three points behind Arsenal, with a game in hand. The Potters, on the other hand, drop to 14th.
