Roma kept the pressure on Serie A leaders Juventus on Sunday by securing a hard-fought 1-0 win away to Udinese.
Radja Nainggolan netted the only goal of the game, which is lucky for Edin Dzeko who managed to make an unholy mess of a penalty kick.
Roma took the lead on 12 minutes, with Belgian midfielder volleying home after a superb assist from Kevin Strootman.
Soon after, the visitors had a chance to double their advantage when Udinese’s Marco Faraoni handled the ball in the box.
However, ex-Man City striker Dzeko made a dog’s dinner of the resulting spot-kick, blasting the ball a mile high, wide and not very handsome…
Udinese pushed for an equaliser but in the end, Roma held on to secure the win which sees them move to within a point of leaders Juventus, albeit having played two games more.
The game also saw a sub appearance from Roma’s 40-year-old legend Francesco Totti, who has now appeared in a staggering 25 calendar years in Serie A.
