I’ve always wondered what would happen if you had a penalty shoot-out in a German cup game. Surely you’d be there all night? Not so it would seem. Bayern Munich survived a penalty shootout to defeat third division amateurs Wacker Burghausen in the first round of the German Cup. Bayern went a goal down in the game, only to scrape through on pens… after LOADS were missed. Wacker Burghausen coach Ingo Anderbruegge’s said “We were one shot away from a sensation”. 18-year-old Burghausen keeper Manuel Riemann, played out of his skin before scoring a penalty in the shoot-out himself. Watch the highlights here.
