Manchester City have agreed to take 20-year-old American striker Roland Benedict on trial, and it just so happens that young Roland is the son of former A-Team star Dirk Benedict – who played Templeton ‘Faceman’ Peck in the hit 80s show.
Benedict senior offered up this glowing appraisal of his son’s burgeoning talents;
“Roland has played soccer since he was four years old and always wanted to play in England so I said ‘let’s go for it’. He is quite good.”
‘Quite’ good you say? Steady on Pops, don’t overdo it!
Could this be what Noel Gallagher was on about?
