With his side a goal down to Juventus, a measured throughball lofted over Juve’s back-line saw Cesena striker Emanuele Giaccherini gifted with a gilded chance (or two) to pull the Seahorses level…

The first ‘miss’ is entirely forgivable, the second…well…isn’t.
After the game ended 2-2, Cesena manager Massimo Ficcadenti was able to laugh Giaccherini’s balls-up off, telling Football Italia:
“It seemed impossible to miss, but he managed it, twice! We were 1-0 down, it probably would’ve been a different game. In any case, he did well to keep his head on the match, because a mistake like that can affect your confidence.”
Personally, I’m fairly amazed that the Cesena supporters didn’t pummel Giaccherini in sheer disgust as he slumped over the advertising hoardings.
