Already heavily inked elsewhere about his person, Genoa captain Daniele Portanova has come up with a novel way to keep track of all the clubs he’s represented over the years, having a frankly grotesque tattoo of six stick figures etched across his hairless belly – each one wearing the strip of one of the six teams he’s played for since turning pro in 1996…
The teams are, in order from left to right: Fermana, Messina, Napoli, Bologna, Genoa and Siena.
Portanova, 35 (i.e, a grown man), explained his ink thus: “This tattoo is a present for the teams where I gave and received a bit of love.”
We can only assume that Alberto Gilardino approves. largely as it makes his tattoo of Peppa Pig (yep!) look like a work of high-concept art…
