With four games to go, Liverpool scrambled back to the top of the Premier League table with a fairly comfortable 2-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

It took 51 minutes for a goal to arrive at Anfield, then the Reds went and scored twice in two minutes as Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah sunk the Chelsea battleship (and secured a first home win over the Blues since 2012) with a devastating salvo.

Salah’s goal was a proper stonker, with the Egyptian winger cutting inside and lashing a tomahawk-like shot into the far top corner from 25 yards out…

We were also treated to yet another painfully bad dive from Salah when the Liverpool man attempted to con a penalty earlier in the game.

After chucking himself on the ground, the cheating git even had the temerity to ‘limp’ away after being told to get up by referee Michael Oliver…

Bloody infuriating, isn’t it?

Anyway, the long and short of it is that Man City are now once again two points behind Liverpool with a game in hand, their next two fixtures being Tottenham (H) and Manchester United (A).

The pressure, as they say, is mounting.
