With a big Superleague semi-final against Hertfordshire Mavericks on the horizon, netball side Manchester Thunder have produced their very own trailer video – a re-jigged version of Peter Kay’s re-jigged version of Tony Christie’s infinitely maddening hit, “Is The Way To Amarillo”.
However, what with Thunder being coached by one Tracey Neville and all, the team were able to coax a few famous faces into appearing in their video, with England Women’s footballers and several members of the cast of Coronation Street all coming on board.
Of course, being their sister, Tracey was also able to talk Manchester United old-timers Gary Neville and Phil Neville into showing their faces, with Paul Scholes also lending his inimitable televisual skills to the cause for good measure.
It is, of course, a triumph.
Just hark at the look of concentration on Scholesy’s face when it comes to the tricky finger-clicking part (2:30ish)…
