‘I’d Like To Thank Some Of The Coaches I Worked With At Man Utd’ – Adnan Januzaj, Subtle As You Like

Six years after joining the club as a 16-year-old, Adnan Januzaj has left Manchester United in the hope of getting his faltering career back on track at Real Sociedad.

The 22-year-old Belgian winger signed for Sociedad in an £8million deal on Wednesday having made just five appearances for United in the past two years, enduring less-than-stellar loan stints at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland in the mean time.

As is obligatory, Januzaj issued a farewell message on social media, in which he made sure to thank the fans, all of his former teammates and – subtly – “some” of the coaches he worked under during his time at Old Trafford…

Januzaj’s parting-is-such-sweet-sorrow post reads thus:

Where to start… I’ve had some incredible moments with Manchester United since I joined.

I want to say a massive thank you to all my teammates that have come and gone from the club. It’s been a pleasure to play with you all.

Thank you to some of the coaches and staff that work at Manchester United to make it such a great club!

Unfortunately, my time at the club has come to an end and it didn’t go the way I wanted it to go but I will always have love for Manchester United.

And finally, a huge thank-you to the fans that have stuck by me through the good and bad times! I will never forget that positive support.

Thank you.

Hmmm. Who could our Adnan possibly be surreptitiously omitting from his list of thankees?
