Does it seem right to you that the man doing the nutmegging in this video (Manchester United’s erstwhile utility man John O’Shea) will soon be earning more than the nutmeggee (Real Madrid’s Luis Figo) did during his time at the Bernabeu?

No, me neither. However, if The Sun are to be believed then it seems that will soon be the case.

The tabloid reckon that United have offered O’Shea a new four-year, £80,000-a-week contract that will stand to earn him £16.5 million, eclipsing the £15.2 million Figo earned during his five years at Los Merengues.

It’s madness gone stark ravin’ mad I tell thee!
