David Beckham, No.1 Lakers fan (oh, and the Galaxy drew 2-2 at Houston)

EMP-5875620.jpgFor the second time in a week, David Beckham has attended an LA Lakers game. The first time, he hung out with racing drivers; he was also caught sneaking a look at a cheerleader’s arse. On Sunday, he took sons Brooklyn and Romeo along to see the Lakers defeat the Denver Nuggets 128-114 in Game 1 of their NBA play-off series.

Galaxy fan Rick Cordillo is not impressed with Becks’ increasingly high-profile Hollywood lifestyle. “He’s spending more time on red carpets than he is on green grass – and what kind of example is he setting younger players with the team struggling the way it is?” Cordillo said.
The Galaxy battled to a 2-2 draw at Houston Dynamo on Saturday, having twice gone behind. Becks combined with Landon Donovan on both of the Galaxy’s goals. The Galaxy were pretty poor in the first half but gaffer Ruud Gullit was happy with the way his team bounced back: “I’m very proud of my team. Landon and David, they really showed how big of leaders they are. I think they did everything to win this game.”
