Arkansas College Side Unveil ‘Comedy Collision’ Set Piece (Video)

By Chris Wright

In which Bryant High School (college/high school, what’s the difference? I was drunk through both) of Arkansas, USAville finally get to unveil the cunning new set piece that they have been slaving over in training for the past week in a match against fellow Arkansans, Conway High – a free-kick which ends up looking like something out of Wile E. Coyote’s playbook…

Devilish. Completely ridiculous, but also very devilish.

Man Utd did this years ago. Giggs and possibly Beckham or Scholes (?) both ran up to whip in the same free kick, one left footed one right footed. They pretended to get it mixed up and walk away both annoyed before Giggs quickly whipped it in again. I don’t think it came to anything though.

Didn’t Sheff Utd or someone try this not so long ago – and it (nearly) worked…?

What the feck is that pitch all about !!! it’s all wrong wrong wrong !

  6. YankeeFootballFan says:

@Gibby – that is a pitch made of FieldTurf, an upgraded version of the old Astroturf. Many American schools will use their gridiron pitch for football as well, and for field hockey and lacrosse, in order to save money in pitch maintenance and real estate. The multi-use pitches are shite only because they look bad. While gridiron is ok on a carpet, I HATE football on artificial turf.

High school is what you attend from the ages of 13-18. College is university in the US
