Come the Pep revolution, it seems that Yaya Toure will be first out of the door at Manchester City – just as he was shunted out of the reckoning when Guardiola took over at Barcelona all those years ago.
However, it doesn’t look like the Ivory Coast midfielder, 32, is going to struggle to pay the gas bill any time soon, with reports today that he could earn a staggering £30million a year if he chooses to follow the hordes flocking to the Chinese Super League.
Over in the Daily Telegraph, Matt Law reckons that Jiangsu Suning have already been in contact with Toure and slapped a whopping £576,923-a-week contract offer on the table, pretty much doubling the already gargantuan wages he’s earning at City.
Knowing Yaya’s agent as we do, Jiangsu might as well start printing up the replica shirts.
