Didier Drogba Hints That He May Not Finish His Career At Chelsea
By Chris Wright
Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has given the subtlest of subtle hints that he may not finish his playing career with the club, despite stating on numerous occasions prior that he was ‘determined’ to finish up at Stamford Bridge.
Talking to Canal+, Drogba said;
“When I signed a new contract at Chelsea, I always said I wanted to finish my career here but I am well placed to say that anything can happen. When I was at Marseille I said I would finish my career there but, one week later, everything changed.”
Not exactly a startling admission of a change in his plans, but I reckon there’s just enough substance in Drogba’s quote to get away with calling it a ‘hint’ – anyway, that’s my defense and I’m sticking to it.
Camp Drog says:
“Oooooh, I ain’t goin’ nowhere you giddy goats!”
