Real Madrid To Sign Romelu Lukaku (The New Drogba) In January
By Ollie Irish
According to the Belgian media, Anderlecht’s prodigious striker Romelu Lukaku is bound for Real Madrid next season. The 17-year-old has been compared to Didier Drogba and the comparisons are spot-on: Lukaku is 6ft 3in, built like a linebacker, fast and a brilliant finisher. Indeed, he’s probably the most highly rated teenage footballer on the planet right now.
Liverpool, Spurs and Chelsea have all been linked with the player (most of the top clubs in Europe would love to sign him), but it seems a deal between Anderlecht and Real is set to be inked in January, with Lukaku moving to Spain at the end of the current season.
If Jose Mourinho gets his hands on Drogba MkII, he will transform him into Europe’s most feared striker.
