As for the controversy mentioned previously; Phillipe Mexes punched Marco Boriello in the ribs, while Sulley Muntari pummelled Stephan Lichsteiner with a series of strikes and, to cap off all the frivolity, the referee somehow saw fit to discredit this effort from Muntari despite the ball being a good yard over the line…
