Norwich City 1-0 Hull City – Premier League – 18th January 2013

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Norwich City v Hull City - Carrow Road

Chris Hughton’s Norwich secured a vital win against Hull on Saturday, courtesy of a rare goal from defender Ryan Bennett. The Tigers had started strongly, with new-signing Nikica Jelavic hitting the post early on but the Canaries were the dominant side for long periods of the game. Indeed, with Robert Snodgrass impressive in midfield, it was the hosts who created the better chances, with both Snodgrass and Bradley Johnson going close while poor old Ricky Van Wolfswinkel impotent season continued with yet another goal-free performance. However, with only three minutes of normal time left on the clock, Bennett rose to nod home from a corner to secure a precious three points for the Canaries. Steve Bruce’s afternoon wasn’t helped by the late sending-off of Tom Huddlestone either.
