Outstanding work from Borussia Monchengladbach’s Alvaro Dominguez, who quite literally provided the helping hand that saw Pep’s Bayern Munich reign begin with a win – giving away two penalties in the space of 40 seconds in the second half.
The first was missed by Thomas Muller (or rather saved by Marc-Andre ter Stegen) but Dominguez took pity on the Bayern forward and decided to let him have another go when he steamed in and handled the rebound, thus providing the Bundesliga champs with their second penalty in the space of 40 seconds – with David Alaba taking over spot-kick duties to shore up Bayern’s 3-1 victory…
Both a little unfortunate and arguably accidental, but giving two away in under a minute is impressive work none-the-less!
