Not that there was anyone there to see it* but Boca Juniors lost the first game of the Clausura 2-3 at home against Belgrano on Sunday evening – though the home side’s opener was a thing of superbly-executed beauty.
Presiding over a freekick some 40-yards out from the Belgrano goal, Boca took just five well-regimented touches to get the ball over the line – the final headed touch being provided by defender Juan Forlin…
(*Boca were playing behind closed doors at La Bombonera as punishment for crowd trouble in a previous game)
Oh yes, nicely done! We love a good pre-meditated set-play here at Pies. ‘Tis a thing of true splendour.
