What a conniving fiend Augsburg’s Marwin Hitz is. During his side’s 1-0 Bundesliga away win against Koln, the Swiss goalkeeper indulged in some Grade A gamesmanship ahead of a penalty kick for the hosts.
While discussing the decision to award the spot-kick to Koln with the referee and his teammates, Hitz surreptitiously tampered with the penalty spot by digging a hole with his foot. Anthony Modeste then stepped up to take the spot-kick, but after placing his standing foot right in the middle of Hitz’s handiwork, the former Blackburn striker slipped as he made contact with the ball, with the sneaky snakey glovesman saving his fluffed attempt…
Keep your eye on @FCAugsburg‘s keeper… who sneakily digs up the penalty spot and causes @AModeste15 to slip! https://t.co/kX15lq0YQS
