No stranger to nasty behaviour, Bayern Munich Franck Ribery was at it again on Saturday during the DFB Pokal cup final against Borussia Dortmund.
In the first-half, the French attacker got himself into a bit of a state before attempting a rather hideous eye gouge on Dortmund’s Gonzalo Castro…
Despite the incident occurring in full view of at least one official, the 33-year-old Ribery got away with only a yellow card, with Castro getting the same punishment for his involvement in the fracas.
Expect Ribery to receive some sort of retrospective ban from the German FA.
As for the game itself, Pep Guardiola ended his time with Bayern by lifting the cup after a goalless 120 minutes led to penalties, with Douglas Costa netting the decisive spot-kick.
Understandably, the Spanish coash was left emotional as he said his goodbyes to the Bundesliga giants.
Next stop Manchester!
