After parting company with Paul Clement last night, Swansea have filled the gap by putting veteran midfielder Leon Britton in temporary charge of first-team coaching affairs.
The 35-year-old, who has been with the Swans since their Third Division days, will take the helm on a caretaker basis going into Saturday’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

After finding his playing time reduced this season (his 15th with the club), Britton agreed to take on a player-coach role in mid-November. Little did he know that less than a month later he’d be sitting in the big chair, eating with a big boy’s knife and fork.
Swansea have confirmed that they will continue to look for a permanent successor to Paul Clement in the meanwhile, with further details to come in due course.
