Bayern Munich boss Niko Kovac has confirmed that two of his players, namely Robert Lewandowski and Kingsley Coman, came to blows in a training ground scuffle on Thursday.
Word went round that the pair had a slanging match and then started throwing fists/slaps at each other after tensions between them reached a flash point.
However, Kovac has moved to assure us that the matter has subsequently been resolved in amicable fashion and that neither player will be punished:
The three of us talked about it. The players are sorry and have apologised for their behaviour.
There will be no financial penalties and the matter has been resolved.
According to Bild, the scrap was sparked when a “very angry” Lewandowski reached the end of his tether with Coman having “long been annoyed ” by the 22-year-old winger.
Thankfully, for those struggling to visualise such a frantic duel, Bild have also furnished us with an artist’s representation of events…
Disappointing lack of a “POW!” or a “BAM!” in Bild’s depiction of the Lewandowski-Coman fist fight in Bayern training. pic.twitter.com/fwdA9p96tr

Apparently the Polish striker’s main gripe was Coman’s propensity to over-dribble instead of providing decent crosses and passes into the box – especially in Bayern’s recent defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.
Robert Lewandowski a preening, self-important mimsy. Who’d have thought it?
Typical striker.
