As if it were possible, N’Golo Kante further cemented his reputation as one of elite football’s most cherished little angels this weekend in the aftermath of Chelsea’s 4-1 win over Cardiff City.
According to the Daily Mail, after the game on Satuday, the French midfielder was supposed to spend the rest of the weekend with family in Paris. Unfortunately, however, he missed his Eurostar train and found himself stranded in London.
Being a devout Muslim, Kante then used his phone to search for a local mosque where he could perform his evening prayer. It was at the mosque that he bumped into a couple of local football fans, who immediately recognised the Blues star and invited him back to their place for dinner.
Sure enough, the evening was spent in the company of a World Cup winner, who enjoyed a curry, a chat and a game or two of FIFA with his new chums…
World Cup winner, former premier league player of the year, 2 time premiership winner casually joined us to watch MOTD after visiting a local mosque. True definition of being humble. What a man. pic.twitter.com/y14NanXKPn

The gang then settled in to watch Match of the Day in the same living room as somebody who actually played all 90 minutes of the Chelsea-Cardiff game…

It all started with Kanté missing his Eurostar to Paris, then Googling local mosque, next thing you know man’s chomping on rice and curry in next mans yard, playing FIFA and watching himself on MOTD 🤣

How utterly surreal.
There’s every chance Kante could have just boarded the next train but, upon being invited round for tea, was just too impossibly polite to say no.
We love him, you love him, everybody loves him.
