Sunderland 1-4 Manchester City – Premier League – 3rd November 2014
Sergio Aguero produced another superb individual display as Manchester City came from a goal down to thrash Sunderland 4-1 at the Stadium of Light.
Connor Wickham had opened the scoring for the Black Cats on 19 minutes, but within two minutes the Citizens were level after Aguero fired home from a Stevan Jovetic assist. Aguero then returned the favour just before half-time, with Montenegrin striker Jovetic shooting through ex-City keeper Costel Pantilimon’s legs.
After the break, the Citizens went in for the kill, with Pablo Zabaleta (courtesy of a superb chipped effort) and Aguero again sealing the deal for the reigning champions.
City are now second, six points behind Chelsea, while Gus Poyet’s side are 14th with 14 points
