That there is David De Gea’s new Facebook profile photo, which, coincidentally, is being used as a launchpad to kick off the annual mid-season transfer rumour crapalanche. It does say January on the calendar after all.
Indeed, the Telegraph are taking De Gea’s updated avatar as a sure sign that the spindly goalkeeper is preparing to up and leave Manchester United for pastures new at the first available juncture, thus causing “mild panic” to spread among the club’s supporters – mild panic like this for example…
Is David De Gea telling us something with his new Facebook picture with no Logo? pic.twitter.com/fZXr6JL5MV

Why all the hubbub? Well, chiefly because there’s no United badge on De Gea’s shirt. He’s whitewashing his ties to the club with immediate effect. We’re guessing it’s also a clear sign that De Gea is turning his back on Chevrolet forever too.
Which is, of course, all complete hokum. Just a perfunctory amount of further digging reveals the true, subliminal motives behind the Spanish ‘keeper’s new profile pic.
Enhance… Rotate 90 degrees…
Frankly, we’re amazed the Telegraph didn’t pick up on that one.
