Manchester United came from two goals down to secure a dramatic victory over Newcastle at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Prior to the game, rumours were floating around suggesting that United boss Jose Mourinho was nearing the sack after a disappointing start to the season, and the hosts got off to a horrendous start against the Magpies.
United conceded the opening goal of the game after just seven minutes, with wideman Kenedy to fire home for Newcastle after poor play from both Nemanja Matic and Ashley Young.
Three minutes later, the Old Trafford faithful were left stunned when Yoshinori Muto scored the visitors’ second after twisting and turning in the box.
The hosts pushed for a goal, with Marcus Rashford missing a great chance from close-range.
However, Newcastle themselves threatened to net another before the break.
On 19 minutes, Mourinho replaced Eric Bailly with Juan Mata as he looked to inject some urgency into his team.
The Spaniard would eventually get his side back into the game in the second-half, courtesy of a free-kick.
The hosts tails were up and on 76 minutes, Anthony Martial netted the equaliser, via a fine finish from a delicious Pogba flicked assist.
The comeback was then completed at the death, with sub Alexis Sanchez, a player seemingly out of favour with Mourinho, heading home an Ashley Young cross.
That moment Alexis Sanchez leads Man U comeback to keep José Mourinho’s job at Manchester United. That goal got the fans jeering. This is Manchester. #MUNNEW#MourinhoIn pic.twitter.com/CMJr2h8m0s

The game would end in a 3-2 comeback victory for United, the kind Old Trafford witnessed many times under Alex Ferguson.
However, the dismal first-half was certainly not something Ferguson would’ve overseen, with Mourinho still very much under pressure despite the three points.
As for Rafa Benitez and Newcastle, losing from two goals up will be a bitter pill to swallow.
