The Premier League have announced that they’ve gone out and snagged themselves a new commercial partner in the shape of Cadbury chocolate.

The famously purple chocolatiers will be sponsoring the top flight for the three years, beginning at the start of the 2017/18 season…

This from the official Premier League site:

This agreement brings together two iconic names that have a unique place within popular culture, and the hearts of people across the country.

Yuck.

  1. Mr Sensible says:

Everyone needs an official chocolate sponsor, I’m surprised United haven’t got one to go with their official potato and candle sponsors.

    This is some bullshit.
I thought the point of the rebranding was that the whole league would be unsullied, whilst bringing in commercial partners on the side.
Now we have the Carabao Cup, and the Cadbury’s Premier League.
    Eurrrgh.
