Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Stoke City – Premier League – 9th November 2014
Mauricio Pochettino handed in-form Harry Kane his first league start of the season, but the striker failed to fire as the Lilywhites went down 2-1 at home to Stoke.
The goals came courtesy of Bojan after just six minutes and then Irish attacker Jonathan Walters just after the half-hour mark. A below-par Spurs rallied after the break, with Nacer Chadli scoring a cracking volley late on. However, the late sending-off of Kyle Naughton did the hosts no favours and ultimately, it was the visitors’ who would take all three points.
Stoke leapfrop the Lilywhites into ninth place, with the north Londoners a point behind in 12th.
