Keen to follow the likes of Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana out the door at St. Mary’s, Southampton’s French midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has taken to Twitter to express his frustration of the Saints’ failure to green-light his move to Tottenham.

Earlier today, club chairman Ralph Krueger stated that neither Schneiderlin or and attacker Jay Rodriguez are for sale, which has left the French anchorman rather irked. Indeed, the 24-year-old Tweeted the following rather melodramatic message in response to Krueger’s statement:

What exactly the ‘one hour’ refers too we’re not sure, but it does seem like the player has thrown an almighty tantrum. He also promptly unfollowed Southampton’s official Twitter feed! Expect the disgruntled star to be shown the door ASAP (which was no doubt his plan in the first place!).

I don’t blame him. The team’s already been gutted and they decide to take a stand now? It would be one thing if they were keeping him in the team that was, but that team’s gone. The new, gutted team could be a pretty poor place to advance his international career from.

I’d be pretty annoyed, too. Especially if (as may be the case) he’d thought he had an agreement with the club.

This is about the only time I’m willing to support such a fit– for a player to see all his teammates that he spent seasons fighting with be sold indiscriminately by an incompetent owner/chairman– well I’d want to leave that nonsense as well.

How absolutely gutting the last few months have been for Saints fans.

From the proud display of last season to the recent exodus it must feel like a cold, raping shock.

I went on a Southampton forum yesterday to see the reaction from the fans themselves, and it was not positive.

There was talk of 17th place finish next season.

…and that was the positive talk.

I hate to see this team ripped apart — bloody greedy owners! They had everything to keep battling and do well in the league. If I was Schneiderlin I’d want out too. Pretty good prospect should have a bright future, but if he is smart he wouldn’t go to Tottenham lol
