It’s taken a while due to the complicated logistics involved but, as of this evening, Juan Cuadrado is now officially a Chelsea player having completed a £27million move from Fiorentina.
Here’s all the proof you need…

If Tino says it’s true, then that’s good enough for us!
UPDATE: It’s 100% kosher now, as per Chelsea’s Twitter feed…

As mentioned previously, Chelsea had to sort out Andre Schurrle’s jettisoning to Wolfsburg and Mohamed Salah’s loan switch to Fiorentina before the Cuadrado deal could go through – with the Egyptian winger making room for his Colombian counterpart by toddling off to the Viola until the end of the season.
Weird one really, as Cuadrado doesn’t really represent an improvement on Chelsea’s current stable of wingers – seems like just another expensive “League Cup winger” to Pies, but hey ho.
In fairness, why apply any sort of logic when it comes to Roman Abramovich and his whims?
One thing you should probably know about this Cuadrado character – he dances…a lot.
Smooth as milk.
