Celtic have invested £1.5million in Manchester City’s 24-year-old Belgian defender Dedryck Boyata, bringing him in on a four-year contract.
“It feels really good. Celtic are a very big club and it feels good to be a part of it,” Boyata, who had been at City since 2006, told the Celtic website.
“The manager came to see me in Manchester and I spoke to him about having me here and all the ideas he had for me playing for the team.”
“So I was very pleased with his plans and from that point I thought that moving to Celtic would be a good idea and we tried to do everything right for me to move here.”
Looking at the photo above, who can argue with his delight? Almost Aaron Lennon-ian levels of joy.
That said, he did managed to cheer up a bit later on – in fact, two hours was all it took for him to start “relishing life” again…
