After Barney Ronay’s thoughtful piece on David Beckham’s inability to exit stage left, comes the horrific prospect that Beckham will NEVER go away, EVER.
Hollywood midget Tom Cruise, he of the stacked heels, claims he’s urged his good pal Becks to take up acting.
“I’ve been encouraging him to become an actor,” Cruise gushed. “He’s got the looks, he’s got everything. He’d be terrific!”
The looks, yes. We agree on that. Everything else? Not so much. I’ve seen nothing in any Beckham interview to suggest that he’d be a decent actor, not with that voice. Quite the opposite: I reckon he’d be more wooden than Hugh Grant.
