Fans of creeping gentrification will no doubt be enthused to hear that Fulham have opened swanky a new gin bar at Craven Cottage.

Named ‘The Clubhouse’, the bar (located in one of the executive boxes in the Hammersmith End) will be available to fans as of the Championship game against Derby County on 17th December.

As well as being tastefully decorated like an upper-deck restaurant on a cross-channel ferry, The Clubhouse will serve 10 types of artisanal gin – a spirit so vile and acrid that the taste can actually be improved by adding malaria medication.

Fulham announced the grand opening in a statement:

[We are] delighted to announce the official opening of The Clubhouse at Craven Cottage, London SW6.

The Clubhouse is a unique gin bar which provides a hub for gin fans to gather at London’s Original Football Club, enjoy each other’s company, and – to celebrate gin.

“A hub for gin fans.”

The game’s gone.

  1. Ginny Gin-Gin says:

Hub for gin fans? So they can all fall into a depressed stupor together, I’ll warrant. An upper-class gin dive for those who Can’t Understand New Technology.

The game’s gone, agreed, but it went ages ago.
