World Cup Snapshot: The Goal That Won The World Cup…..

By Alan Duffy

Germany's Mario Gotze scores his teams opening goal of the game

Just when it looked as though the 2014 World Cup was going to be decided on penalties, up steps Bayern Munich forward Mario Goetze to score a superb winning goal in extra-time. That goal gives Jogi Loew’s side a deserved fourth World Cup title and makes then the first European side to win it in the Americas.

We’ll have the usual photos, highlights and assorted malarkay in good time, but let’s congratulate Germany who, overall, deserved to win what has been a superb World Cup.
