By Chris Wright
At 27 years and 248 days, Cristiano Ronaldo became the third youngest footballer to reach 100 full international caps last night (there’s ten Pies points on offer for anyone who can correctly identify the top two!), only for Norn Iron to go and put a bit of a dampener on things…
Thumbs up!

My money’s on Podolski & Casillas!
@Stiff and Arthur: You’ve managed to get one of the two between the pair of you.
Podolski and… Ali Daei? not sure.
poldi and pele
Kristen Viikmae
Podolski and Kristen Viikmae, yes.
Ten points all round. Lukas Podolski (Germany) and Kristen Viikmae (Estonia) it is!
what do we win? 2 internets?
Van Der Vaart already passed 100, Sergio Ramos has 97 caps for Spain at 26, Shweinsteiger and Lahm are nearing the 100 mark too, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard, Wesley Sneider and DIRK KUYT are also just about there. Neymar has 25 caps at age 20 (Although I’m sure 100% of those were friendlies)
This recent trend of footballers reaching 100 caps has me thinking we’ll be seeing a lot more players reaching the milestone at a younger age in future.
