By Chris Wright

As you may recall, last season Spanish third division side La Hoya Lorca decided to pay homage to the principle agricultural export of their particular corner of the country by playing in a rather fetching “broccoli” kit.

Following suit for 2014/15 are second tier Spanish club CD Lugo, who unveiled their new home and away kits for the coming campaign yesterday – kits predominantly designed to promote the wares of their main sponsor, brewers Estrella Galicia, and one of the most popular items of local Galician cuisine: octopus…

Tentacles. Every good football shirt should have ’em.

They definitely are kind of hideous…but at the same time, bloody brilliant! And ten times better than the broccoli one, if you ask me.
