Shit Football Kits: Plymouth Argyle 1995-96
By Ollie Irish
A classic mid-1990s kit, this – all angular, abstract, overdesigned and, ultimately, shit. Argyle wore it for one season only, and depite its eyesore qualities, it brought them a fair wodge of luck: in the 1995-96 season, under manager Neil Warnock, the Pilgrims gained promotion from Division Three, beating Darlington 1-0 in the playoff final at the old Wembley Stadium. It was the club’s first ever visit to Wembley.
Bonus quiz: Can you name any of the Argyle players pictured above?
