Brazil’s New Special Edition ‘Blackout’ Kit Is Very, Very Black
By Chris Wright
Presenting: Nike’s new ‘blackout’ Brazil kit for 2011.
As you can see, it’s very, VERY black – a bit ‘post-apocalyptic Batman’ if you will…
Apparently the shirt is being marketed as a ‘special edition’ by Nike and as such Brazil won’t actually be wearing it competively at any point, but that doesn’t stop it from being utterly ravishing.
Pies approves.
Likey or no likey?

I would definitely buy this.
That kicks ass
amazing
LOVE
sweet
Likey, REALLY likey.
Its so black it has an event horizon.
I’m getting one.
Emo Brazil fans rejoice!
But seriously that is stylin’. Would love to see how it looks on.
amazing shirt, sad they won’t ever be wearing it
Am I the only one who thinks this is more grey than black?
Or am I splitting hairs here…
To split it even more, I think it’s anthracite (charcoal-grey).
Cool stuff, but doesn’t look that brazilian to me.
That is pretty black. Ferguson would have a field day explaining away losses with this one. Not that he’s likely to be Brazilian manager any time soon mind…
Cool heh
Sick
So they won’t be wearing this, so why even create it?
I’ve always thought outfield players wearing black isn’t right somehow
It’s disgusting, nice idea but terribly executed, the sleeves look like they’re knitted. Also the name on the back is way too high. Why couldn’t they have just kept it simple and all black with the same material with the shiny black numbers, crest and Nike logo.
@Montesquieu
Why to prize away your hard earned money. Why else? haha
@Montesquieu
Why does anyone do anything ever? Money. Nike figures they can rope in a bunch of saps to buy a football shirt that will never be on a football pitch, and they are right. Black on black never goes out of style, always makes people take a second glance, and Nike knows this. Everyone will see the new thing and become, in the immortal words of Chris Farley, Jojo the idiot circus boy with a pretty new pet, throwing piles of money into the hands of multi-millionaires just to wear something black.
Money is the sole motivation behind every decision. If Nike thought they could release a polka-dot version and make a few pennies, they’d do it.
@theme teams
I would bet the life of everyone on the planet that Sir Alex is much, much smarter than you.
Immense, it seems most people have to own a brazil shirt just as a mark of respect to football, this shall be mine. One day…
it is nice, but it does not express the stong vibrant way brazil play football
na na na na na na na na Batman na na na na na na na na
Its as grey as the way the current Brazil team play! Ha, ha, all the suckers out there will pay top $$$ for it and the Brazil team won’t even be wearing it…!!!
Did they get the idea from Spider Man 3???
Money and sex are the motivation of life, and sometimes both at the same time if you’re Wayne Rooney.
Putrid. Its sooooooo trendy to bash Rooney and Fergie these days, all the while they keep winning trophies by playing great football. That’s more than most can say.
@The Yank:
Don’t concern my life with that bloated, red-faced, perpetually gum-chewing bore.
you have to be joking – brazil in black? no way – only referees wear black (for a good reason) – what a load of ****
No way Im Brazilien and our selection never`d use a black shirt even I think its nice just for use, not to Brazil selection we are Yellow, and very proud about our old shirt,,, but I would buy one just to have it since black is nice elegant so….
That kit is ugly as a monkeys arse.
@Ted Balls
I think you meant to say, “Most successful manager in history.”
What is / What does ‘Canarinho’ mean??
@The Yank
I’m willing to meet you halfway at ‘Most bloated perpetually gum-chewing red-face in managerial history’, but I’m not prepared to budge any further.
I shed a tear again at the beauty of this kit
So good! It’s like stealthy Casio G-Shock!
Where can this be purchased?
siiiiiiiiiiiiiick, if they wear that in a game i’ll jizz my pants
Where can you buy this top???
