3. George Best - Dropped in after missing training due to a three-day bender at his own nightclub (Slack Alice's) in early 1974, only to find he'd been axed from the side for an FA Cup game by manager Tommy Docherty. Best refused to play for United again and went on strike until November of that year until FIFA oversaw his release.
