Liverpool owner John W Henry admits he has been taken aback at just how much power professional footballers have in Europe, compared with in the USA.

Henry said: “It is a completely different system here to what we are used to. If a player has a contract in the United States they fulfil the contract. Over here, it seems players have much more say-so about where they are.

“Frankly, we don’t want a player at the club who doesn’t want to be at the club. It’s really up to us to provide the kind of leadership, on and off the field, that any player at the club

    John Henry needs to learn to take tabloid Newspapers and web blogs with a pinch of salt. When these hacks talk of unrest and players wanting to leave what they actually should say is; we went into a huddle with the editor and came up with totally spurious story just to cause trouble at Liverpool just because 99.9% of the UK hacks are ManU, Chelsea & Arsenal followers and hate LFC vehemently.
