“Mr Capello sir, Rafa says I can’t come out to play tomorrow.”
A couple of reporters at England’s training session ahead of tomorrow’s Belarus qualifier have Tweeted that Steven Gerrard has limped out, feeling his groin muscle (steady).
What does this mean? Well, it means – of course – that Stevie G won’t be fit to play in an international dead rubber in midweek (he hardly looked fit against Chelsea nine days ago), but then will rise from the treatment table as if by magic, to captain Liverpool this weekend against Sunderland. So it goes.
