Snapshot: Southampton’s Luke Shaw Posts Instagram Picture Highlighting Dreadful Offside Miss By Officials

By Alan Duffy

What an utter howler this was from the men in black officiating the Manchester City v Southampton game on Saturday. With the scores 1-1 and City struggling to click into gear, Samir Nasri scored after being set up by David Silva. However, when Silva received the ball from Edin Dzeko he was a country mile offside.

So incensed was Southampton’s teenage full-back Luke Shaw after the game, that the youngster posted a picture on Instagram showing a screen-shot of the decision with helpful ┬áline drawn to highlight the awful decision. Cheeky!

  1. Dylan says:

He shouldnt! But he could get in trouble for this

  2. Titus says:

Looks to me like Silva is behind the line as shown in the pic, thus making him onside. Good job linesman, Pierlugi Collina would have probably missed this one

  3. John says:

Southampton all stopped playing, if they would have played to the whistle, they would have shut Nasri out. There own fault

please no one reply to john, he is obviously on a much higher level of intelligence than us mere mortals
