Manchester City’s dreams of a Champions League final appearance came crashing to a halt on Wednesday night, after a Gareth Bale goal fired Real Madrid to a 1-0 aggregate victory at the Bernabeu. And City player, Raheem Sterling, was lucky not have his leg broken as well, after a horror lunge from Lucas Vasquez.

Vasquez came on as a second-half sub for Jese Rodriguez, before taking out Sterling with a dreadful studs-up challenge on 83 minutes…

However, despite having a great view of the incident, ref Damir Skomina only booked Vasquez, rather than showing him a very deserved red.

So Vasquez will now be available for the final against local rivals Atletico Madrid at the San Siro. Lucky chap!

No way, Real Madrid getting favored by a ref in a big match?? Color me surprised.

  2. I miss fnarf says:

The ref must be a closet Liverpool supporter that thought that the mercenary cunt got what he deserved.

  3. Pedant says:

As opposed to the other 21 mercenaries on the pitch? Wake up.
