Photos: Birmingham City 0-0 Manchester City, or The Brilliance of Shay Given
This was the Shay Given Show. In one of the more entertaining ni-nils you could see, Man City’s excellent goalkeeper stopped everything Birmingham could throw at him, including a James McFadden penalty (great pained reaction by the Scot too).
That’s four draws in a row now for City, who are looking less and less like a team capable of cracking the big four. Top-six team, for sure; top-four team, not this time.

I wouldn’t dismiss man city’s chances that easily. 6 of 10 games so far have been away, with fewer games lost than any of the “big four”, particularly liverpool. Even that loss – v united – was a bit of a fluke really. Teams like birmingham and fulham seem to be upping their game against city.
I agree with Dave. They outplayed Arsenal (beating them 4-2 in september) and are looking far better than Liverpool at the moment (let alone Spurs, Villa, and Everton, who are just europa league challengers, at best).
They are very likely to finish in 4th or even in 3rd. Liverpool fans should be concerned about their CL 2010/2011 berth
