Bastian Schweinsteiger Asks For Paul Scholes’ Shirt After Bayern Munich-Man Utd Legends Game (Video)

With Zinedine Zidane and Xavi already outed as fully signed-up and registered members, it seems we can also add Bastian Schweinsteiger’s name to the Official Paul Scholes Fan Club roll call, with Bayern Munich’s World Cup-winning vice captain winning the race to swap shirts with the ex-Manchester United midfielder at the end of last night’s charity friendly between United and Bayern legends at the Allianz Arena.

The video of Scholes’ post-match interview is a bit skippy, but all the salient information is there none-the-less…

The game finished 3-3 as 62-year-old Paul Breitner managed a 25-minute cameo for Bayern, with Andy Cole scoring twice and Scholes himself adding the third for the visitors.

    Must be frustrating having a brilliant career only validated towards the end through endorsements from much better players.

    Only footballers know how good Scholes really was. Prior to Moyes, Man Utd romped the EPL with Scholes (and Giggs), without them, they finish 8th.
