Alex Ferguson wants 40 goals next season from Park, Nani, Valencia, Macheda and Welbeck. Hmmm…

Ollie Irish

Cristiano, don’t go… Nooooooooooooooooooooo!

Quote of the day goes to Fergie:
“Those goals from midfield have dried up a little in recent years, so we have to address that. I will be looking to [Ji-Sung] Park, Nani, [Antonio] Valencia, even [Danny] Welbeck and [Federico] Macheda, to contribute 40 goals between them.”
My reaction to this comic gem:

Fergie proves that there’s a very fine line between being optimistic and delusional – that lot will do well to muster 20 goals between them next season, let alone 40.

they’re good players, and if he changes the tactics like he says he is, i wouldnt doubt SAF… 40 goals is a shit load, i personally thing 20-30 range but still something good will come out of them

I’d like a Bugatti Veyron, a gold plated house, a billion pound, Messi to sign for Stoke, to bang Gemma Atkinson, the list is endless, but each of those dreams has something in common with Fergie’s. They will never come true!

  5. Neli G says:

    sorry ollie but i disagree!
    nani- 10
    valencia- 10

  6. K says:

I dunno, between them it IS possible but not very likely at the moment. Judging by pre-season games, they aren’t gelling that well together yet.
    I’m gonna go between 20-30, maybe 30-40.
