What with his eponymous wine bodega and a burgeoning acting career to juggle, Andres Iniesta certainly has plenty of extra-curricular activities to keep him busy during the fallow months – with an incredibly nerdy-looking holiday excursion now flesh further fleshing out the Barcelona midfielder’s non-footballing CV.
While on his post-World Cup vacation, it’s being reported that Iniesta was knighted by the “Illustrious and Noble Order of the Wooden Spoon”, which the internet reliably informs us are a quasi-masonic group dedicated to the preservation and protection of a particular strain of extra-virgin olive oil.
The meal and ceremony took place at Iniesta’s winery in Fuentealbilla, Spain on Saturday evening and, thankfully, there are photos…
We believe the word you’re looking for is “dorky”.
