Great goal – there’s no disputing that.

  2. paddy says:

and he celebrates so meekly after doing that….

  3. :) says:

no way i picked up this guy in fifa cause his name sounded hilarious when called by the commentators!!! hahaha i love this random guy!

  4. Stopping the BS says:

Reminds me of some classic Brazilian runs of old. I applaud him for shaking off that second defender like a champ. Messi would’ve gone down from that challenge.

  5. Miguel - NYC says:

@Stopping the BS, Have you ever seen Messi play?
Messi scored goals like this for fun, especially against Arsenal…and Madrid…and well, every other team in the planet.
People like you really need to find another sport to watch. Cricket might be good for you.

  6. Montesquieu says:

This is the the second tier of the Bundesliga. Which means, that if you’re a top flight player, you’re likely to be a stand out.

As Messi is a top flight player, he’d likely break all goal scoring records before the end of the season.

Besides, one goal does nothing for a man, if this Schmidtgal can put in performances like this every week, well that’s different.

  7. […] …whiff of genius: Messi like goal from Fürth’s Heinrich Schmidtgal. […]
