Big Bouncy News Ball: FA charges Arsenal and Chelsea over Carling Cup brawl, plus Eboue and Adebayor

As expected, the FA have charged both Arsenal and Chelsea over this unsavoury brawl, which took place near the end of a drama-packed Carling Cup final. Arsenal’s Emmanuel Eboue (horrible little man) has been charged with violent conduct for striking Wayne Bridge (glass jaw).

Emmanuel Adebayor (My Little Pony hair) has also been charged – a little unfairly I feel – with ‘reacting aggressively and failing to leave the field of play immediately’. All parties have until 14 March to respond to the charges, although they don’t have much of a defence and will surely be hit with fines. I expect Eboue will pick up a five-match ban. [Via BBC Sport]
